Hosting and server logs
The website is operated by Florian Hödl (hoedl.co) on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Nuremberg, Germany. When you open a page, the server records your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser's user agent. This is needed to deliver the website and to protect it against attacks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are deleted after 30 days at the latest. IP addresses that attack the server may be blocked automatically for a limited time.
Visitor statistics
To see which pages are visited, this website uses Plausible Analytics, hosted by Florian Hödl (hoedl.co) on the same servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany (analytics.hoedl.co). No data is passed to third parties. Plausible sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Your IP address is not stored: it is only used, together with the user agent and a salt that changes every day, to count visitors, and cannot be traced back to you. Only aggregated figures are kept, such as page views, referring websites, country and device type. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
YouTube films
Robert's films are hosted on YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you click "Play film". Only then is the player loaded from youtube-nocookie.com: your IP address and device information are sent to Google, and YouTube may store data on your device. Google may also process data in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 165(3) TKG 2021). If you tick "Always play films directly", this choice is saved in your browser (local storage, key "yt-erlaubt") and nowhere else. You can withdraw it here at any time:
"Watch on YouTube" and the YouTube channel links simply take you to youtube.com; from there, Google's privacy policy applies.
If you write an email, it is used only to answer you and is not passed on.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and you can withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to the address above. You can also complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
